Hello!
I’m Aria, a lifelong writer/artist and soon-to-be first-time author/illustrator. I’m passionate about creating and teaching. My art students range from third grade through high school. When I’m not busy teaching art, I’m running my nature-based childcare program which I opened in 2009.
One of the best parts of my job is introducing young children to the wonders of reading. New readers unlock the door to unknown worlds, and sometimes I’m lucky enough to watch them turn the key.
The children in my program most love reading to our adorable audience of rescued pets. (Meet them in my first book!) In addition to the animals of the household, I live with my husband who enjoys launching himself off cliffs on his mountain bike, and three free spirited children who have the world’s best teacher. (Did I mention they’re homeschooled?) Our family enjoys camping, exploring, and traveling in our adventure van.
I’m thrilled to be on the road to fulfilling my lifelong dream of becoming a published children’s author and illustrator. I can’t think of any better adventure than one that combines my love of art, animals, children, and books. Care to join me on this journey? Let’s connect!
